5 Questions You Should Ask Your Granite Countertop Designer & Fabricator

  1. As a granite countertop fabricator, are you fully insured?
We are incorporated by the state of North Carolina, licensed by the city of Kernersville, a member of the Greensboro Builders Association, Better Business Bureau, and carry business insurance. Any granite company you are considering dealing with should have similar associations and insurance. If you are unsure about a company check with the Better Business Bureau, review online reviews and ask for references.

  2. Who will do the installation? Will I be safe to be around them?
All countertop installations are handled by our in-house installation team. The team of installers has been trained and are well versed in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting. Most importantly, our installation team will leave your house in as good or, better shape than before the installation. All team members go through our in-house training program and has passed an employment reference check.

  3. Do you guarantee your work and/or the materials?
We provide you with a lifetime warranty that all custom fabricated stone products will be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use. During the warranty period, we will repair or replace products found by us to be defective. Marble and granite countertops are composed of natural material; color variations, veining, fissures, pits, & streaks are natural characteristics of the countertop and are not considered defects.

  4. What maintenance will I have with granite countertops?
To keep your countertops clean simply use soap and water. Any cleaners designed specifically for natural stone will also work. The sealer we apply to your granite countertops fills in the naturally occurring pores in the stone and make countertops more maintenance-free. The sealer then repels spills, giving you time to clean any messes up. The stone sealer will last for many years as long as you not use cleansers that will scratch the surface or, break down the sealer and leave your granite vulnerable to staining.

    Cleaners to avoid include:

    • Vinegar, bleach, or ammonia based cleansers.
    • General purpose cleaners
    • Bathroom cleaners, grout/tub/tile cleaners.
    • Abrasive cleaners such as dry cleansers or soft cleansers.
    • Scouring powders and abrasives

  5. Will my granite countertops last? With proper care, granite countertops will look great and last for many years.
